And - so here I am. Just felt the need to spread my wings and be a bit more creative than animals. I took 3 classes from a wonderful teacher and painter on how to paint loose and colorful landscapes. Here are a couple of my results - and yes - I am having fun!
I have been working on animal eyes ( which really make you feel the connection with the animal) since taking the class from Jean Haines. Here are two of my recent ones that I am proud of. click here to see all my work for sale
Thought I would take a look at often overlooked farm animals – rabbits . But since they are so cute – I chose the cutest to paint. Here are a few. I used various techniques – some loose – some more detailed. Enjoy. All available on my etsy site at
I recently got into a watercolor class offered by Jean Haines ( international watercolor painter and teacher) in Dallas. I had tried for two years to get into a class
– but they book up almost instantly. At last – attended her class and it was nothing short of amazing. She is a great teacher and full of life! Here is my first painting after her class – yes, I got looser and employed some of her techniques – Looking forward to continuing to work on more confidence in employing her tips.
Have been doing several commission pieces for people and have just done a pair of magnificent dogs called Kangal goat dogs. They are from Turkey and are super dooper protective dogs for goat herds. Take a look at this male/female pair.
